Ambre eco management

Ambre is an islet situated North East of Mauritius inside the lagoon. Our NGO, Forever Blue has launched a project in order to preserve this area rich in biodiversity with the help of the GEF/SGP programme of the United Nations Development Programme and UNEP WioLab.

The GEF Small Grants Programme is a unique international entity. It is a financial mechanism allowing the support and promotion of community initiatives and actions to face global environmental problems. Its mission and management are innovative answers to the spirit and to the mandate of Agenda 21 enacted in 1992 at the Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.
